Our Process
How We Begin
The purpose of our Risk Management Assessment (RMA) is to provide our clients with the framework they need to introduce an integrated risk management plan specifically tailored to their business or organization.
Now more than ever, a successful risk management plan requires the full cooperation of all departments. A true “all hands on deck” approach is the only way. As the speed of operations and transactions increase, both employees and customers struggle to match the elevated pace of change.
The process begins with a conversation, followed by a site visit and inspection of the relevant parts of the client’s physical plant. Premises liability perspectives from seasoned professionals who combine decades of operations, litigation, consulting and construction experience help to identify risks before they become a costly liability and utilize the data gathered to assist the client going forward.
PPC RISK then completes a review of the business or organization’s operational and administrative preparedness. This includes, but is not limited to, a comprehensive review of:
- Training manuals
- Rules and regulations
- Standard operating procedures
- Emergency management protocols
- Incident reporting and tracking
- Foodservice sanitation guidelines
Operational risks in general are a constant. When a business assembles a staff and invites the public through the door, shareholders, ownership, and senior management are on the clock. Acts and omissions have consequences. Being forced to play defense can be costly – both in a real dollar sense, and from the corrosive effects of reputational damage.
General liability and workers’ compensation play a role. It is not, however, a sustainable business model for an owner to merely indemnify him- or herself against the negligence of employees, customers and others.
As our society changes, businesses and organizations must adapt to the evolving concerns of both their team members and their customers.
